Do you want a 4 percent wage increase?
Pay raises that fail to keep up with inflation and salaries well below those of other public employees are making it difficult for the state to attract, recruit, and retain professional, experienced employees. As a result, high turnover rates cost the state hundreds of millions of dollars every year. And Georgians may not be getting the quality public services they need.
Lawmakers are voting on the 2007 state budget right now. Send a message today to the Georgia House of Representatives, letting them know that all state public service employees need a four percent raise, effective July 1 of this year.
Do You Want a Voice in Health Care Decisions?
Georgia state lawmakers are about to vote on a bill that would give state public service employees a voice in decisions about our health care plan.
Act now to let our state senators know that we need to be at the table to talk about how much our health benefits will cost us, and how to make quality health care more accessible for ourselves and our families.
